Advisers should benefit from digital solutions as a case of urgency before the new sustainability regulations enter into force throughout the United States and the European Union, and Lionel van der Walt, chief growth employee, RAFT.
He told those present at Multimdal 2023 that as we are approaching the completed regulations, the appointed date must give priority to find a way to report emissions to provide accurate and compatible data as required in new laws.
“It is expected that the American climate regulations that will be published in an unlimited way, along with those already in the European Union, have a significant impact on the logistics industry, however most of the guidelines are either unaware, or they do not understand, or they intentionally ignore these organizational changes until they have to comply,” said Van Der Walt.

“It is time for companies to adapt to a new era of reporting, collecting, managing, calculating and reporting environmental and social data and required governance, including green home gases, can overwhelm most of the supply who lack knowledge or resources to do this quickly and accurately.”
In the coming weeks, the US Securities and Exchange Committee (SEC) is expected to present its final climate detection rules, which will require companies listed in the United States (Failers 10-K and foreign exporters who provide 20-F to SEC to report a wide range of information related to their emissions, including data 3.
Van Der Walt emphasized that the councils and executive teams need to pay close attention, as the digital platforms will become necessary to ensure the required comparison, consistency, and boosting quality in ESG reports through industry.
