The Korean Air Force has restarted its brand and presented a new plane to celebrate the new birth from the newly expanded transportation company. The photos published on the Internet show the first plane to wear the new color scheme, which is Boeing 787-10 landing at Seoul Ghambo Airport (GMP) on March 10, 2025, before the launch of the new brand on March 11, 2025.
The new Livery replaces the current scheme, which was first introduced in nearly 41 years on March 1, 1984, is on one Boeing 747-300 for the company and McDonnell Douglas MD80, which both types have long retired from the carrier fleet. 41 years old is a long time for an airline to update its brand, so ASiana’s merger gave the Korean motivation to reconsider the image of companies.
The current scheme to be replaced in itself was a deviation from the traditional colors of the national flag, with the color of the newly born blue fuselage, separated from the white lower fuselage by a silver tape. The “Yin Yang” airline logo appeared on the tail in traditional colors of red, white and marine blue, while also appears in the name of “O” in the nicknames of airlines on the front fountain in what is now an old line style.
The tail continues to display the distinctive Taegeuk style, although this has been simplified and style. Taegeuk style is clarified in the same blue blue color, with Red no longer displayed anywhere in the new Livey. It is worth noting that Taegeuk style and the line used for the company’s name seem to be the same as the Hanjin Shiping Group, the Korean Air Holding Company, was originally registered with the Korean Intellectual Property Office in early 2022, according to Bez.
