
Silk Way West Airlines has officially handed over a newly obtained Boeing 777 simulation (FFS) to the National Aviation Academy (NAA) during a special event, which enhances the role of Azerbaijan as a major aviation training center. The ceremony was attended by Mr. Arif Pashayev, President of the University at the National Aviation Academy, Mr. Emine Omariav, Minister of Education and the Sciences of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Hafez Pashayev, President of Ada University, Mr. Zor Akundov, President of Al -Silk Group, and Mr. Samir Arzaiif, President of CJSC Azerbaijan.

Simulator has been produced by the UK-based L3ARRRISIRISCIALATIONS SOLUTIONS, a model of the next generation that merges three Boeing 777-777-F variables, 777-200 LR, and 777-300 ER-provides a very realistic training experience. Equipped with advanced visualization techniques and aviation simulation, allowing a wide range of qualification sessions, experimental assessments and training training in accordance with the highest international aviation standards.
In February, Boeing 777 FFS underwent a comprehensive review by experts from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). After the successful ratification process, the EASA certificate will be officially recognized by the local aviation authorities, which increases the reinforcement of the academy’s commitment to international aviation standards. Simulation will be one of the main assets in the training of pilots from Silk Way West Airlines and Azerbaijan Airlines, and other transport companies operating on the Boeing 777 aircraft around the world, enhancing its skills and ensuring compliance with the highest aviation safety standards.
By making this facility available in Azerbaijan, Silk Way West Airlines eliminates the need to travel abroad for mandatory training, significantly reduce costs and enhance access. Moreover, the simulation certificate under EASA standards will attract pilots and airlines from all over the region, putting Azerbaijan as a center of excellence in aviation training.
