Stone Town, thanks to moisture and tight streets, are not the best exercise places, so you wake up early and hit the gym for your shift instead. You need to look beyond the stone city to get good beaches, to destinations like Nungwi and Matemwe. Through the eastern coast of the island, the beaches of Paje and Gambiani’s beaches are great for surfing. The journey to any beaches will take about an hour.

Dargani Bazar, also known as the Estela Market, accumulates colored colors of tropical fruits and vegetables with meat holders. One section is devoted to penetrating spices. Local population shops much more, from mobile phones to plastic games. For souvenirs, explore the small stores surrounding them, which sell traditional goods such as wooden sculptures, boxes, antiques (may not be outdated as claimed), textiles and jewelry.
Beyond
Jozani Forest Reserve has rollers through the mangrove that you can – if you are lucky – antelopes, Bush and Nidra Africa, the red coloppos monkey. You will enjoy the colorful sweets of butterflies. Another trip to the island of Chango highlights the giant turtles. You can also choose a DHOW cruise or visit spice farms to discover more about the production of cloves, vanilla, nutmeg and cardamom.
