Airforwarders (AFA) is making great steps in the invitation to invest in the infrastructure of air cargo in the United States. With the help of major pressure groups Michael Taylor, the association aims to increase awareness among the influential members of Congress about the urgent need for financing to treat congestion and improve efficiency in airport shipping areas.
“Our goal is to define the main decision makers on the Capitol Hill and raise their awareness of the challenges facing air cargo and their importance in the logistical supply chain,” said Brandon Farid, CEO of Airforwarders.

An urgent case
The airport congestion committee, created by AFA, has identified the main focus areas and recommended solutions to treat goods congestion at airports. Challenges include communications, technology restrictions, insufficient facilities, infrastructure, employment issues, customer service, policies and government regulations. The white paper of the committee provides a comprehensive list of recommendations, focusing on the importance of integrated solutions. Participants of coordinated interest, effective automation, communications technology, and appropriate policy frameworks are extremely important in dealing with congestion effectively.
Truck congestion continues at major American airports in the big challenge, although air -with -level air sizes dating back to prenatal levels. The main goal of AFA is to involve decision makers in Capitol Hill and make sure they understand the importance of air cargo in the logistical supply chain.
“Airports face capital improvement requirements for more than $ 120 billion over the next five years, and the legislation of modern infrastructure law will cover, at best, 20 % of these requirements,” Farid stated. “Most of the airport money is likely to go to the requirements, late amenities, critical support services, safety, and security.”
Taylor, from the inside of Washington with widespread legislative and organizational experience, heads AFA’s efforts. With a deep understanding of the impact of the industry on the supply and national trade chain, Taylor brings the effective defense experience to invest in the infrastructure of air cargo.

The key to the economy
The air cargo industry has proven to be the financial pillar of the aviation industry, especially during the Covid-19s. With the decrease in passenger traffic, air charging operations expanded to meet the increasing demand for time -sensitive charges.
Industry efforts contributed to facilitating the transport of critical goods, including high -value and sensitive elements, significantly to airport revenues. The increasing shipping operations were generated by revenues through landing fees, fuel flow fees, and other operating revenues, which compensates for some of the losses that airports and parties suffer from.
“It is necessary to understand that the productivity of the air cargo affects thousands of small companies that depend on the timing of their hurried shipments. The legislators need to understand that these companies and their components will benefit from improving them as soon as they improve.”
AFA is determined to persuade members of Congress about the urgent need to invest in infrastructure for air freight. By highlighting the impact on shipping costs, consumer prices, creating jobs, improving service, reducing carbon emissions, and increasing private investment, the association aims to build a convincing issue of financing.
AFA efforts have gained traction in Congress. The association’s legislation related to the study of the General Accountability Office was approved during the process of amending the FAA reaffirmation bill in the American House of Representatives Committee.
“Once the full version of the legislation is completed, it will be voted on by the House of Representatives, and then there will be a copy of the Senate. To sign.
