
A new charging center can be created to be built at Newcastle Airport thousands of jobs and enhance the northeastern economy with an amount of 165 million pounds annually.
The 750,000 square feet location, which is officially called an airline, will be a main center for shipping operators, charging and ground handling agents.
Development to the market is presented by the airport in conjunction with its partner in Naylors Gavin Black.
The new name of the site in Mipim-is a real estate conference and a four-day investment in Cannes, France, which brings together the main players in the real estate industry, including investors, developers and business officials.
Airlink was among the many new development sites that will be shown in this event by the airport, Newcastle City Council and Newcastle Investment, highlighting the strong investment potential in the northeast.

Firmink, which is located to the south of the runway, is located to its occupying with direct access to cars, allowing charging and unloading it quickly and efficiently from the aircraft.
This makes it a perfect location for companies that deal with time -sensitive charges, such as medicines, auto parts and other high priority deliveries.
The site also contains excellent transport links and will ensure its proximity to the A1 goods quickly throughout the UK easily.
Once built, Airlink can generate up to 1,400 direct jobs, with 1,200 additional roles through supply chains and business partners.
Development is scheduled to play a decisive role in supporting the growing shipping operations at the airport, which achieved a record in dealing with more than 6000 tons in 2024.
Searching for companies to operate Airlink already ongoing. The planning application is scheduled to be submitted later this year and the airport has a preferred developer for the site.
