Passenger traffic between China and Singapore continued to achieve strong growth, registering a 50 percent year-on-year increase during the quarter, positioning China as the largest source market for Changi. Among the ten major cities in Changi, Shanghai saw the strongest growth for the second consecutive quarter, with year-to-date traffic more than doubling compared to last year. Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, London, Melbourne and Tokyo were the other top 10 cities to record double-digit year-on-year growth during the quarter.
Lim Cheng Kiat, Changi Airport Group’s executive vice president for airport development and cargo, said: “North Asia continued to achieve the highest performance during the quarter, building on the strong momentum we saw over the past year.
