Ethiopian Airlines, the largest airline in Africa, has entered into a historical agreement with Airbus to conclude the seven -year flights services (FHS), which enhances its commitment to operational excellence and fleet reliability. The deal, which covers the 24 Airbus A350 aircraft fleet, represents an important step in improving maintenance efficiency and enhancing passenger experience.
The agreement includes the A350-900 and A350-1000 Trazi, ensuring that Ethiopian airlines benefit from Airbus’s intense material support, including the stocks allocated to the site in Addis Ababa, access to global spare parts gatherings, comprehensive reform and engineering assistance. The contract will play an important role in reducing the time of aircraft disruption, simplifying maintenance operations, and improving overall efficiency.
A strategic partnership for operating excellence
Rita Milako, Executive Director of Operations at Ethiopian Airlines, highlighted the importance of agreeing to maintain the reputation of reliability airline. “As the first African operator of the A350 family, we are committed to maintaining the highest performance and reliability standards through our fleet. Ethiopian Airlines was a major partner at Airbus, as it introduced A350-900 in its fleet in 2016 and A350-1000 in November 2024. By taking advantage of the wide engineering experiences of Airbus and the global logistics network, the airline aims to enhance the availability of components and ensure its unarmed operations through its global baskets.

Airbus Flight Hour (FHS) services is a comprehensive maintenance solution designed to help airlines guarantee the reliability and availability of components while managing costs. The program merges the complex inventory, the stocks on the site, and the specialized engineering support, allowing airlines to focus on operations instead of logistical complications. More than 1,400 aircraft are currently operating all over the world under Airbus FHS, which confirms its effectiveness in maintaining the reliability of the fleet.
