Operations were suspended at Birmingham Airport, as West Midlands Police responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle.
West Midlands Police said the situation was described as a “precautionary measure to ensure the safety of passengers and staff”.
“West Midlands Police are currently dealing with an ongoing incident at the site. A Birmingham Airport spokesperson confirmed that airport operations are currently affected.
This is the third case affecting the airport this year. Holidaymakers were evacuated from Birmingham Airport in September while police investigated the incident. In April, Birmingham Airport temporarily suspended all flights after a security incident occurred on board an Aer Lingus plane.
