The Agencies Sector Administration recommends the renovations of the cavity by switching from customs processing with importing (main) import and export to the new customs advertising service (CDS) sooner and not later, in preparation for the implementation of CDS exports and the new computerized transportation system (NCTS) later in the year.
Speaking of “Export and Customs Export Workshop (CDS), Simon Adams, director of the program, told Multimdal delegates that ASM is equipped and ready to help guidance prepare for the upcoming changes.
“Ultimately, all merchants and agents need to prepare shipping participants in export and import to and from the United Kingdom to migrate to CDs,” Adams said.
“We realize that there are many complications to move when companies switch to CDs, but it is necessary to request trading advice and support to avoid facing non -compliance problems, which will lead to delay and cost.

“We already provide access to the online training platform for more than 90 percent of our user base through our customs clearance program.”
Last December, HMRC announced an extension of exporters to make a transition to CDS, which will replace the main system in the United Kingdom, until Thursday, November 30, 2023.
This follows the implementation of CDS imports, which was largely completed in September 2022, and coincides with major changes that are presented by NCTS stage 5, which will be implemented from Thursday 16 November 2023.
ASM, which provides customs software solutions for nearly 30 years, is currently helping more than 500 companies that Sequoia uses ready for CDs before the deadline in November.

“To continue to support guidance through these changes, we focus on our development to adapt against the difficult timeline set by HMRC,” Adams continued.
“The latest version, Sequoia v5.34, is now available and supports direct CDS export ads associated with living goods that usually move across the RO-RO port using the GVMS service.”
“Sequoia v5.34 can also use both CDS and the main data to complete NCTS ads, allowing for good delegation to CDS without disrupting their transportation operations.”
Adams, who joined two HMRC representatives, welcomed questions from the attackers for best practices and what the changes in the industry will mean.
