The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has officially recognized the Lewis Monuz Marin International Airport (SJU) as a center for dealing with the approved drugs, after the efforts made by the air cargo community in Puerto Rico for Life Sciences to improve the cold chain operations in the region.
Society works closely with SJU and the Ministry of Economic Development and Puerto Rico (DEDC) to support logistical service providers in achieving the Center for Excellence for the Evils of Independents (CEIV), including training initiatives for smaller institutions and governmental government for the cost of accreditation.
This has obtained a certificate from seven members: US Airways, Prime Air Corp, Eth Cargo, Esteditors, César Castillo, Isla Frio Refrigervation, and airline services that can be relied upon in ILA Frio (GMD).
The CEV initiative was launched five years ago by the INDUNIV University Industrial Center (INDUNIV), which currently facilitates the second round of additional accreditation throughout society.
“I would like to give my deepest gratitude for SJU’s grade and for hard work and dedication to our entire team,” said George Hernandez, CEO of Aerostar Airport Holdings, who runs SJU.
“This achievement confirms our collective commitment to the progress of reliable and effective transportation in Puerto Rico from drug products.”
The CEV Pharma adoption, created by IATA, is the global standard for drug transmission, ensuring that important products are dealt with in line with strict requirements.
“Congrats! “To SJU to play an effective role in helping its community partners at the airport to achieve the IATA Pharma Certification,” said Peter Serda, the IATA regional vice president.
“This teacher not only reflects the commitment of excellence, but also enhances the safety of pharmaceutical transport through the airport shipping chain.”
“With this certificate, SJU and its partners in the cold chain have set a standard for reliability and compliance in line with CEIV criteria, which indicates their dedication to protecting the quality of life -saving drugs and establishing themselves as reliable partners in the logistical services of drugs.”
The constant motivation for accreditation and education through community members was a decisive step in promoting drugs in Portorico.
With more CEV Pharma certificates in the pipeline, society and its partners will continue to enhance the level of drugs across the island.
