“The closure of today from Heathrow will disturb a large number of travelers. We thank those affected by their patience, as the airlines focus on transporting them to their destination as quickly as possible.”
“This is another case of Heathrow, both travelers and airlines,” followed.
“This raises some dangerous questions. First, how does that critical infrastructure – national and global importance – depends completely on one energy source without an alternative?”
The question was hitting the heart of the chaos it witnessed earlier today when Heathro Airport-one of the most busy airlines in the world-was forced to stop the operations due to the power outage at the site level. The flights were canceled or converted, the stations were covered in semi -epithelium, and thousands of passengers and shipping charges were left to be stranded or redirected.
According to iATA, this is not just operational hiccup but rather a basic failure to plan infrastructure in one of the most important logistical nodes in the world.
Walsh added: “If this is the case – it seems – this is a clear failure to plan by the airport.”
