The FreshLinc cold chain storage facility in Spalding will double as a control point for inspections and customs clearance, further streamlining operations.
“This enhanced collaboration with FreshLinc comes at an exciting time for ICL, following the opening of our new office in Rotterdam last month,” said Nick Finbo, Perishables Sales Director at ICL.
“This is in line with our ongoing growth plans, improving our ability to provide high-quality logistics services from our Heathrow location to our customers in the growing perishables sector.
“Further improvements to our cold chain solutions will come later this year, as our Heathrow site undergoes refurbishment, with the expansion and modernization of our temperature-controlled facility.”
Founded in 1996, FreshLinc provides warehousing and logistics solutions across the UK and Europe through a network of distribution warehouses.
“The combination of ICL’s expertise and FreshLinc’s nationwide coverage will provide an efficient and reliable route to market,” said Lee Juniper, CEO of FreshLinc.
“We have currently established two control points in Spalding, one of which specializes in temperature-controlled goods.

“FreshLinc facilities give our joint customers, like ICL, the opportunity to offload produce closer to the point of offloading, saving valuable time and allowing fresh produce to enter the food chain.”
