ITP Aero and Air Nostrum Engineering & Maintenance (ANEM) have signed a contract for the maintenance, repair and overhaul of General Electric CT7-9C3 engines, which power the CN235 aircraft fleet operated by SASEMAR (Sea Rescue Service). This contract, which has an initial term of three years, is consistent with ITP Aero’s strategic focus on expanding its presence in the MRO market and enhancing the aftermarket capabilities of its currently operating main engine platforms.
Maintenance work will be carried out at ITP Aero’s facility in Albacete (Spain). “We are pleased to continue our partnership with Air Nostrum, as part of GE Aerospace’s in-service engine community for CT7 engines,” says Alan Jones, MRO CEO.
“This is another milestone that allows us to continue executing on ITP Aero’s strategic MRO growth roadmap, expanding our commercial aftermarket and operational excellence of our maintenance and repair capabilities.” Alan Jones adds.
The CT7-9C3 engines, which are powered on CN-235 aircraft, provide an approximately 5 percent increase in base power and improved high- and high-altitude takeoff performance compared to current CT7-9 models. The improvements in engine performance are due to an advanced centrifugal compressor, which completed certification testing last year.
