Qatar Airways has announced the resumption of three weekly flights to Damascus, Syria, effective 7 January 2025. This represents an important step in reconnecting the region and providing passengers with seamless access to Qatar Airways’ extensive global network of more than 170 destinations.

The decision to resume operations to Syria reflects the company’s commitment to enhancing regional connectivity and supporting traveler demand. Qatar Airways Group CEO Eng. Badr Muhammad Al-Mir said: “We are pleased to resume our flights to Damascus, a destination of great historical and cultural importance. This announcement confirms our commitment to enhancing connectivity and facilitating travel for our passengers.”
He added: “Travelers to and from Damascus will benefit from Qatar Airways’ world-class services and access to Hamad International Airport, which is consistently ranked as one of the best airports in the world.” The carrier’s global network will provide passengers with the opportunity to explore destinations around the world through the carrier’s hub in Doha.
