After many recent fluctuations, last week was a relatively calm period of global air freight according to the latest data from the TAC index, which is to report the leading prices in the market. The global air freight index (BAI00) that was calculated by TAC per week until March 10 has not completely changed 0.0 %, which is still advancing by +6.2 % on an annual basis. However, it seems that the local folders and rates rise again in recent days-although it was not clear whether this reflects some “front loading” attempts before the high tariffs and/or other commercial restrictions that the trucks-or the market feared “returns to nature” after modern turmoil.
Outside China, the trends were mixed – with the high rates of the United States, but they decreased slightly on the corridors to Europe. The Hong Kong External Road Index (Bai30) – which is still the largest airport in the world – has increased by 2.5 %, under the leadership of higher rates, and is still advancing by +12.1 % on an annual basis. The rates outside the Shanghai (Bai80) were softer, as it decreased by -2.1 % of leaving this indicator only forward by +2.9 % on an annual basis. Prices on other corridors from Asia – including Vietnam and Bangkok as well as from Seoul – were mostly until they did not change largely from India to Europe and the United States.
From Europe, the rates often decreased on the roads to the United States and Japan, although they were generally flat in the corridors to China. The Road Index issued by Frankfurt (Bai20) has decreased by -1.0 % Wow to be less narrow at -0.2 % on an annual basis. Heathrow in the external London (Bai40) has decreased by WO7.9 %, as it decreased by decline in most of the main corridors -although it is still in front of +5.4 % on an annual basis.
From the Americas, the Roads Index from Chicago (Bai50) increased by 1.1 % WOW to push his profit to +8.4 % on an annual basis. The total rates of the United States were rising again to Europe and China, as well as in the corridors to South America, where a significant increase appears annually.
The post -regional differences continued amid uncertainty in the market for the first time in the week of air cargo.
