Air Cargo China, part of China Transport Logistics, made a comeback for the first time since 2018, as thousands flocked to the new Shanghai International Exhibition Centre. Recognized as the leading trade fair for logistics, mobility, IT and supply chain management in the Asia Pacific region, the event showcased every element of the industry across a 10,000 square meter exhibition area.
“China Transport Logistics and Air Cargo once again validates Messe Munich’s concept of bringing together all modes of transportation in one trade fair, thus offering one-stop shopping for shippers and cargo owners,” Xu Jia, CEO of Greater China Messe Munich Shanghai, said.
With more than 36,000 visitors from 92 countries and regions, the event brought together industry leaders to discuss topics at the heart of the logistics industry, including the e-commerce revolution, aviation trends, and the future of air freight and trans-Pacific trade.
“This strong international engagement reflects the enormous economic importance of China and Asia for global logistics,” said Dr. Volker Vissing, German Federal Minister for Digital Affairs and Transport.
“The theme of artificial intelligence, which is seen as a game-changer, will be particularly showcased here and demonstrate its enormous potential in solving problems,” he added.
Besides China Air Cargo, China Transportation Logistics also gave visitors the opportunity to meet hundreds of exhibitors covering the full range of products, technologies and logistics services, learn about customized solutions and advanced equipment and explore the Asian market.
From delving into vehicle logistics, rethinking China-Eurasia rail freight, the Continental Maritime Silk Road Summit, and more, the transportation logistics aspect of the conference provided a wide range of insights into the Chinese sector and beyond.
Throughout both sides of the event, technology and sustainability were key points of focus as attendees explored the 2024 Asian Logistics Technology Forum and considered how to build a low-carbon international logistics corridor.
