Smart Aviation has announced an ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance and Insurance) charter partnership between Air Arabia Maroc and charter airline Getjet Airlines.
Air Arabia Maroc, part of the Air Arabia Group, the largest low-cost airline in the Middle East and North Africa, contacted Smart Aviation for support last week after a delayed delivery of one of its aircraft. After continuous negotiations, Smart Aviation succeeded in obtaining an Airbus A320 aircraft registered in Latvia from GetJet Airlines, one of its most trusted airline partners. Thursday 1street August 2024, the first charter in the ACMI operation departed from Riga.
The ACMI process will continue until the delivery of the aircraft that will join the Air Arabia Maroc fleet, and Smart Aviation will work closely with all partners to manage availability and ongoing operations.
Mark Hawkins, Managing Director of Smart Aviation, said: “The ACMI market is currently very tight and time was against us, so I am pleased that we were able to secure the perfect choice for Air Arabia Maroc. GetJet Airlines has been a trusted partner of Smart Aviation since its founding in 2016, and we can always count on them to provide efficient and timely service, with well-maintained aircraft and excellent crew. I am very happy that the ACMI operation is running so smoothly.”
