Aviation services around the world (WFS), a member of the Sats Group, has become the first shipping processor at the Schiphol Airport (AMS) to provide electric cargo pulling vehicles in the latest global support initiative Eco and Social Group Priorities (ESG).
Goldhofer Sherpa E6 is used to support slope services and goods in WFS for more than 50 airlines in AMS, which is one of the most air freight sites in Europe. WFS runs four warehouses in AMS covering more than 17500 M² and the integration of good distribution practice (GDP) and IATA CEV Pharma is approved for temperature -controlled drug products.
Goldhofer is the pioneering provider of very high and developed aircraft withdrawal solutions, and is compatible with global environmental policies adopted with airports all over the world. R.He Goldhofer Sherpa E6 Towing Vehicle produces zero emissions and works with low energy costs and the most quieter noise levels.
With more vehicles upon request, WFS will operate a completely full fleet of diameter vehicles in Amsterdam by the end of Q2 2025.
“This is the latest step in our sustainability journey and towards our goal of emissions. In addition to contributing to SATS and WFS ‘ESG priorities, these new electric cars also improve the work environment for our employees thanks to the low noise level and operation. Safety and reduces the need for manual lifting. ” Stéphane Scholving, Managing Director, Netherlands in WFS.
“To support “Safar Emissions Map in 2030”We created the Royal Schiphol collection in 2023, we are pleased with WFS is the first charging processor in Amsterdam, providing electric charging tractors. In cooperation with TCR, WFS tested many illustrations before choosing Goldhofer Sherpa E6. This electric charging tractor provides at least the same performance as the diesel tractors that replace it but without any emissions. WFS has also invested in the fast charging system for fully empty batteries within 80 minutes to ensure that it is optimized in the process of dealing with very busy handling. ”
Sats and WFS are constantly looking for cooperative sustainability partners and opportunities to help achieve the group’s ESG goals. In Europe, many cargo processes are now operated from WFS through 100 % renewable energy, while its operations are increasingly providing electrical tractors to transport goods between warehouses and planes as well as electric forms and other vehicles that support shipping processes.
Other sustainability initiatives include the use of LED lighting in warehouses, packaging recycling programs, and employee environmental driving courses to increase fuel efficiency, and the use of biological decomposition plastic to wrap air thunderbolts.
