Worldwide Flight Services (WFS), a member of the SATS Group, has won a long-term contract to become the handling partner of SAS Cargo at Stockholm Arlanda Airport, one of the airline’s main Scandinavian hubs.
The contract, which begins on 24 February 2025, follows a comprehensive selection process by SAS Cargo, and represents the first time the airline has teamed up with a third-party handling provider at one of its Scandinavian hubs. It also expands SAS Cargo’s commercial partnership with WFS, which already has cargo handling contracts with the airline in Belgium, Ireland, the Netherlands and Spain.

Winning this new contract will strengthen WFS’s position as the largest independent cargo handling company at Arlanda, Sweden’s main international airport. WFS handles eight airline clients at three facilities. The combined warehouse capacity of 16,300 square meters includes refrigeration facilities for temperature-controlled and perishable goods as well as a Border Inspection Post (BIP).
WFS has been providing cargo handling services in Stockholm Arlanda since 2012, and in June 2024, it increased its local infrastructure, market opportunities and expertise in Sweden through the acquisition of Terminal & Transporttjänst i Sigtuna AB (TT) and APH Logistics AB (APH). This represents another important milestone in the company’s strategic growth plan in Sweden and will greatly support the success of the SAS Cargo partnership.
